Hope In A Backpack

Dignity Grows’ Hope in a Backpack initiative offers a bold solution to end Period Poverty through community-wide partnerships. Through this program, whole under-resourced populations, neighborhoods, or school districts receive immediate, critical, and compassionate large-scale direct hygiene and period product support.

Hope in a Backpack is a large-scale direct product support program of Dignity Grows that strengthens communities from within by enabling women and girls to attend school, maintain employment, and achieve their goals free from the disruptive and often debilitating effects of Period Poverty.

Empowering Women & Girls

Dignity Grows’ Hope in a Backpack program improves the quality of life and the health of a community’s women and girls. Access to essential and menstrual hygiene products is key to preventing serious medical problems with potentially fatal consequences.

This groundbreaking program empowers girls to attend school with confidence and women to secure and maintain stable employment. Through education and consistent direct product support, Dignity Grows is dedicated to promoting gender equality and improving the overall health and opportunities for girls and women.
